Moszna Revisited

There are some places that one wants to see not once, not twice but many times. German emperor Wilhelm II visited Moszna twice, so if it is good for emepror, it is good for me to revisit it!  Moszna Castle in Silesia region of Poland. The castle looks like a fairy tale castle with its tall 99 towers and neo-gothic decorated multiple wings. In fact, it reminds me a lot of the English castles from the Elizabethan period. The palace and the park used to be a property of German kin Tiele-Winckler from the second half of XVII century. There are 365 rooms and its cubature is 65,000m3 . The park surrounding the castle is one of the oldest establishments in Silesia and is really nice in the Spring and Autumn. There are old , monumental trees and colourful Azaleas and Rhododendrons. At the back of the castle there is an imposing fountain leding the eye to the beautiful alley of Tilia trees as well as many french and dutch canals that go along the alley. It is a pleasure to go there, to have a nice long walk and to return to the castle for a snack and a hot coffee.
