Travelling in Turkey it is visible in most of the town and mainly in the architecture, that Islam is the largest religion of Turkey. Although Turkey is officially a secular country with no official religion since the constitutional amendment in 1924, currently all public schools from elementary to high school hold mandatory religion classes which only focus on the Sunni sect of Islam. Interestingly, Turkey has been an associate member of European Union since 1963; it is still in a future if it is going to become a full member. For now, during the travel one can still enjoy relatively unspoiled villages and town places like: Urfa, Mamure, Konya, Hasenkeyf, Harran, Guziantep, Fogubeyazit and Hattusa.
