This is the continuation of the previous post, as Oia demands a bit more coverage. One would not really believe that in 1956 earthquake the village suffered badly. It may never fully recovered, but it is still spectacular. Quieter than tourist-frenzied Fira, it’s streets are filled with lovely little shops and cafes. Here, in the spring, autumn or winter one can fully relax. The streets slide into a hibernation allowing tourists to think and to contemplate the views undistured by hustle and bustle of the summer season.
