Zakopane is located in southern Poland near the border with Slovakia. It lies in a valley between the Tatra Mountains and Gubalowka Hill. It is a popular skiing resort with popular peaks of Kasprowy, Nosal and Gubalowka. Although Zakopane has long been a playground for Poles and travellers from Eastern Europe, only lately it has been discovered by the rest of the world.
